The Committee of Qualifying Egyptian Films to OSCARS selected "Lama Benetweled" (When We're Born) to be Egypt's representative at the Best Foreign Language Film award competition at OSCARS yesterday.
Directed by Tamer Ezzat, the film consists of there different stories about how a man can adapt to his surrounded conditions such as poverty.
The three stories are linked together by Cairo-Kee's Amir Eid's songs. Eid himself has a story in the film from the three.
The three stories are: a story of a singer who fights hard to achieve his dream, a Christian woman who accidentally falls in love with a Muslim man, and a third is a sports coach who needs more money to support his family.
Produced in 2019, it stars Amir Eid, Bassant Shawky, Amr Abid, and Hanan Soliman.
Regarding the Arab countries selections for OSCARS, Tunisia selected "The Man Who Sold His Skin" and Sudan selected "You Will Die at 20"
