“Egypt is closely following up the latest developments in Guerguerat border crossing in Morocco, “ the official spokesperson of the foreign ministry, Ahmed Hafez said on Sunday.

“in the light of the increasing tension in this region, Egypt calls on all parties to exercise restraint and respect the decisions of the Security Council, including the ceasefire, and to refrain from any provocative actions and any actions that harm the economic interests and trade exchange in this region,” Hafez added.

“In this regard, Egypt stresses the need to adhere to dialogue and resume the political process to solve the crisis in a way that achieves stability and protects the interests of all parties, and respects the considerations of international law, especially the principle of states’ sovereignty.”
