According to the Egyptian Metrological Authority, Egypt is preparing for Tuesday's rain to vary in severity around the country (EMA).
In Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, the EMA predicts sporadic rainfall, with rain soon to return.
Sinai, northern Upper Egypt, the North Coast, northern Lower Egypt, the banks of the Suez Canal, and Aqaba are currently experiencing intermittent rain with varying intensities. The EMA also stated that low, medium, and cumulous height clouds are hanging.
Due to the weather, Mohamed El-Sherif, the governor of Alexandria, has declared a state of emergency for Tuesday. In order to respond to any potential emergency situations that may arise due to the weather, he has ordered the pertinent agencies to boost their presence on the streets.El-Sherif emphasised the significance of preserving traffic flow and preventing road jams while admonishing drivers to exercise caution and limit their speed. Also, for their own safety, residents have been urged to avoid approaching trees, billboards, and light poles.
