The African Champions delivered an impressive performance during the tournament.
The one-time title holders qualified for the last 16 as Group B winners after securing five victories against Australia, Nigeria, Sweden, South Korea, and France.
They advanced to the last eight after snatching a narrow triumph over Serbia 30-29.
Egypt made a historic comeback that will be remembered throughout the ages as the Pharaohs skyrocketed themselves to their sixth semi-finals after defeating Norway 29- 27.
Egypt became the first non-European team to achieve the full mark during the group stage in this tournament since 2009 when Brazil managed to do so.
They achieved the title one time before in the 1993 tournament, hosted by Egypt after they defeated Denmark in the final game.
It is worth mentioning that the Pharaohs participated in this tournament taking place in Spain, after winning the 2018 African Men’s Junior tournament.
