Security forces arrested on Saturday Hatem Abdel Latif, the former Minister of Transport, who served under late Mohamed Morsi's presidency, in light of the accusations against him of involvement in a terrorism case.
A security mission had arrested Abdel Latif, who served as transport minister in the cabinet headed by Hisham Qandil from January to July 2013, from his home in New Cairo.
This came in light of the accusations against him in a terrorism financing case, in which a number of businessmen are involved, including Sayed Al-Sweerky, owner of the Al-Tawhid Wa Al-Nour chain, Safwan Thabet, owner of Juhayna Company, and Khaled Al-Azhari, the former Minister of Manpower.
