Winter can be harsh on the skin, leading to dryness and allergies. However, natural remedies can offer effective solutions.

A study has revealed several natural ingredients beneficial for skin health during the colder months.

*Frankincense

Known for its natural healing properties, frankincense contains substances like collagen, which helps in skin brightening, unifying skin tone, and reducing pigmentation.

Its tannins content aids in skin tightening and wrinkle removal by stimulating collagen production. Glycerin in frankincense ensures skin hydration.

Additionally, it is effective in treating acne and removing pimples due to its antibacterial properties.

To use, soak two tablespoons of frankincense in half a cup of water overnight, store it in a bottle in the fridge, and use it as a lotion every evening.

*Chamomile

Chamomile is renowned for its therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial qualities.

It helps in treating acne, skin allergies, and dry skin, and is medically used for wounds, sores, eczema, skin irritation, bruises, and burns.

Chamomile preserves facial skin moisture and reduces dryness. It also diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, giving the skin a more youthful look.

For use, make chamomile tea, let it cool, and apply it as a lotion on the skin and around the eyes.

*Banana

Bananas enhance skin radiance and freshness. They reduce the visibility of scars, including acne scars, protect the face from harmful sun rays, and lessen under-eye puffiness.

To use, mash half a ripe banana and apply it as a mask on the skin. Rinse off after 10 minutes for a noticeable difference in skin radiance.
