US senator and a member of the Congress Appropriations Committee Edward Case, visited Egypt's parliament on Wednesday.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed Egypt’s vital role in fighting terrorism and solving regional problems. The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing and intensifying meetings and consultations between members of the US Congress and the Egyptian Parliament.

Also, they discussed the importance of strategic relations between Cairo and Washington and close cooperation in all common issues as well as Egypt’s important and pivotal role in all Middle East issues.
Noteworthy, Case met with Kamal Amer, head of parliament’s defence and national security committee, and Kamal Darwish, head of the foreign affairs committee.
Case's visit was the 1st of its kind for a US congress member in three years.
