Dubai to Start COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

On Saturday, Dubai Health Authority announced that the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 will start on Sunday using the Chinese Sinopharm.

The vaccination process will take place in three medical centers: Nad Al Hammar, Al Twar, and Al Mankhool.

The centers will receive all Emirati residents and citizens, who are over 60 years old according to Dr. Farida El Khaga, the executive director of the Medical Support Services and Nursing sector.

She highlighted that the authority is aiming to widen the horizons of the vaccination campaign for preserving society against the outbreak of the virus.

Last month, UAE started the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in the capital, Abu Dhabi, days after licensing Sinopharm for emergency usage.

The state was one of the spots that hosted the clinical trials of the Chinese vaccine.
