Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani confirmed that diplomatic talks to resume relations between Iran and Egypt are underway at the level of foreign ministers.
Iran's Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, is meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of the BRICS meetings, Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported on Monday.
It is worth mentioning that, Cairo and Tehran are working on "developing bilateral relations" with the aim of rapprochement, according to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, as Iran engages in a process of reconciliation with several Arab countries.
