Egypt’s Digital Egypt platform continues to make significant progress in delivering government services electronically, with the number of available services reaching 182 and the registered users exceeding 9 million, according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The ministry is working on launching more services in the coming period, with plans to make some services exclusively available on the platform. This step aims to encourage citizens to embrace digital transformation while reducing reliance on paper-based and traditional transactions.
The platform was introduced gradually as part of the government’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy, designed to simplify procedures and save citizens time and effort. Currently, it provides services in various sectors, including documentation, food subsidies, traffic management, judiciary, social insurance, and commercial registry.
As an essential part of the state’s strategy to digitize government services, the platform ensures easy access from anywhere without the need to visit government offices. This contributes to reducing congestion and improving service efficiency.
With the growing number of registered users, the government is strengthening the digital infrastructure and expanding the range of services, reflecting the increasing dependence on technology in delivering public services.
