Thousands of people demonstrated in the streets in Warsaw, Poland on Thursday against the ban-abortion law that came into effect.
Wanda Nowicka who is a member of Poland's Left party expressed to Deutsche Welle that the government didn't win "this war against women".
In the same context, Women's Strike organization member Marta Lempart, urged everyone to go into the streets to stop such a "crime" against women according to DW.
The newly imposed law bans all abortion cases except in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother's life is in danger.
It was approved by the Polish Constitutional Court in October causing nationwide strikes.
The government supported the court's decision as it would restrict "eugenic abortions" referring to the abortion cases against Down's Syndrome.
