Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said on Saturday, that more than 50,000 people were killed, as a result of the earthquakes that struck Türkiye on February 6.
Soylu told CNN-Turkiye that the death toll from the earthquakes, which had its epicenter in Kahramanmaras, had reached 50,783.
It is worth mentioning that, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit near the city of Kahramanmaras in southern Turkey, located 33 km from Gaziantep, a major city and regional capital in southern Turkey, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.
