Former Israeli permanent representative to the United Nations, Danny Danon said on Monday that the vast majority of Jews in the United States will vote for the Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the U.S. Presidential elections.

In an interview with Israeli Army Radio (Galei Tzahal), Danon considered that Jewish money is a more important player than the votes of the Jews, pointing out to the support of Jewish businessmen and organizations for the Republican candidate President Donald Trump.

He revealed that Trump's election campaign had received very large donations from Orthodox Jews and Israelis residing in the United States.

"Therefore, Jewish money is a much more important player than the Jewish vote," he added.

Last month, the results of an opinion poll conducted by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) revealed that 75% of Jews in the United States would vote for Biden, compared to 22% for Trump.

Trump is the preferred president for 74% of American Orthodox Jews, 20% of reformists, and 14% of secular Jews.

On the other hand, Biden is the preferred one for 18% of Orthodox Jews, 72% of conservatives, and 83% of secular Jews, according to the poll.
