COVID-19 Still Emerges Globally, Says Tag El-Din

The Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El Din that Coronavirus is still active, and the pandemic isn't over yet.

Tag El-Din explained that as long as the pandemic is still present, there will be a continued change in the detected number of new cases and the degree of infection.

He added that the cases in Egypt are a few and the majority of them are mild, adding that COVID-19 is still present globally.

In the same context, the Ministry of Health and Population said that the COVID-19 booster dose guarantees high safety rates and reduces the chances of infection, and it can be obtained from the nearest health unit.

The head of the Scientific Committee to Combat Coronavirus at Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population Hossam Hosny confirmed that the booster doses are important, and work to strengthen immunity in the face of the virus.

Moreover, he added that they contribute to increasing the body’s ability to withstand the complications that occur as a result of infection, especially in the winter season.
