Egypt is seeking to locally manufacture more coronavirus vaccines, Health and population ministry spokesman said.

In a televised statement, he added that the country will receive 5.2 million doses of 'Pfizer' and 'Moderna' COVID-19 vaccines early September.

The spokesman added that the 2nd shipment of the 'Johnson & Johnson' vaccine will arrive in Egypt within two days.

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said in a post on its official page on “Facebook” that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective, and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies to protect the body from the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Population called on citizens to register in order to receive the vaccine on the website: www.egcovac.mohp.gov.eg or to visit the nearest health unit office.
