On Saturday, the Coptic Orthodox Church released the measures of the upcoming Christmas and Epiphany Prayers on the Church's official Facebook page.
Regarding the Christmas and Epiphany prayers, only twenty persons alongside churches' priests will be allowed to attend the prayers.
Furthermore, only one weekly prayer will take place and it will be attended by churches' priests and only five deacons.
Also, the statement shed light on the future of the Coptic churches' activities and services until 31 January.
All services and activities related to the Sunday schools, theological institutions, and Clerical college will be fully suspended.
However, marriage ceremonies can be hosted at the churches but in the presence of one priest, one deacon, and 20 family persons alongside the bride and the groom.
Regarding the funerals, funeral prayer will take place and it will be attended by one priest and 1 deacon, and the family of the dead. Regarding, the prayer of the third day of death, it will be suspended.
Finally, confirmation ceremonies will be hosted at churches and it will include the infant baptist, one priest, and the baptist's family.
The church underscored the necessity of following the medical protection measures against COVID-19 in churches and holy places.
