The National Committee for Health in China said that the mainland has reported 96 new infections with the Coronavirus today, Wednesday, compared with 90 cases on Tuesday. The committee explained that 71 of the infected people were locals.

It is worth noting that twenty-seven cases were clear of the known symptoms of COVID-19 in spite of their infection with the deadly virus.

About 93 thousand infections were registered in China since the outbreak of the disease later in 2019, meanwhile, the death toll is still at 4636 cases without any change so far.

However, the Chinese authorities have decided to apply measurements of the closedown again amid fears of spreading out of the “Delta” strain in the country.

In the same context,   Li Tow Whu, an official in Wuhan city, in the center of China, said that the health authorities in the city plan to examine all population there to reaffirm that there was no Covid-19 infection.

The new measurements come after spotting three new confirmed cases in the city on Monday Monday.

The Chinese officials on July 30, announced the spread of a new wave of COVID-19, starting from Nanjing Airport, the capital of Jiangsu Province in eastern China. The new wave of infections has extended to Beijing, the capital city of China, and 5 other provinces.

They considered the "Delta" strain as the most serious prevalent after Wuhan’s virus.

The local media in China indicated that since the discovery of the first confirmed case of the latest wave on July 20 at Nanjing Lukou International Airport, nearly 200  infections have been reported as of Thursday morning.

Local sources said that compared to the previous waves of local virus resurgence that were usually limited to one or a few nearby cities, t but the Nanjing epidemic occurred in a crowded international airport, and passengers across the territory traveling long distances quickly carried the virus across the country to places including Sichuan in the southwest of the country, and Liaoning in the northeast of China.
