Countries around the world are considering imposing restrictions on arrivals from China, amid fears of an outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Since its abandonment of the “zero COVID” policy this month, China has faced one of the largest waves of infections in the world, aggravated by the development of new variants there.
And officials in the United States OF America (USA) announced that the authorities are considering the possibility of imposing restrictions on arrivals from China, after India and Japan imposed mandatory “PCR” checks on arrivals from China.
The US officials said, "the international community is increasingly concerned about the current surges of (Covid-19) in China and the lack of transparent data in this regard."
The data also showed that the country recorded 216,219 new confirmed cases of the disease, an increase of four percent over the previous week, bringing it close to a record number of 260,000 infections per day that the country recorded in August.
