Chelsea demolished Arsenal with 4 goals to 1 in the final of the Europe League, after Eden Hazard scored twice and created a third Belgium winger’s final game for the Blues.
The Blues destroyed Arsenal with four second-half goals that handed coach Maurizio Sarri his first major trophy at the age of 60, although he is still rumored to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
Former Arsenal player Olivier Giroud and Spain attacker Pedro each scored a goal to hand Chelsea, in addition to Edin Hazard who displayed spectacular form scoring two goals. This is the Blues' third European title in seven years, with the Champions League triumph in 2012 followed by their first Europa League victory in 2013.
Hazard, who joined Chelsea in 2012, and is now assured to be leaving London at the end of the season, looked emotional in his send-off after being substituted late in the match, perhaps saying goodbye to his loyal English crowd.
