The Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations announced, Saturday, the death of Mohamed Farid Khamis, a famous businessman and owner and founder of the Oriental Weavers Company.
Khamis, 80, owns many businesses in various sectors, including ones involved in urban development (OUD), petrochemicals, tourism, and agriculture. However, he is best known for making high-quality carpets. His company operates in Egypt and has two other factories in China and the United States, employing around 22,600 workers.
