Spanish reports said Tuesday that Catalonia's police believe that it is better not to hold El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid on the scheduled data this month.

In November, La Liga announced that El Clasico would be held at Camp Nou Stadium on Wednesday, December 18 at 20:00 CET ( 21:00 CLT).

The Spanish giants were due to meet each other on Saturday, October 26 at Camp Nou in the first Clasico of the season, but the game was delayed due to protests in Barcelona.

On October, 32, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed that El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid would be held on December 18.

The RFEF has issued a statement announcing the new date on its official website saying that the game would be held on December 18 at the Camp Nou stadium.

“The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has agreed today to set for December 18 the date of Barcelona vs Real Madrid,” the statement read according to Mirror.

It also explained that the decision was taken after discussing the proposals, presented by both clubs during the previous days.

“The decision of the Competition Committee has come after analyzing, in recent days, the proposals of both clubs, that agreed on a date of December 18 for the postponed match,” the statement added.

On Friday, October 18, the Spanish Federation had asked both clubs to agree on a new date for the Clasico and presented it to the RFEF by Monday 21st October.
