CAPMS: Trade Exchange Between Egypt, COMESA Countries Grew by 33,9% in 2021

Egyptian exports to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, (COMESA) countries amounted to about $3066 million during 2021, compared to $2342 million for the year 2020, an increase of 30.9%, and this came on the occasion of the African Statistics Day and the COMESA countries in 2021.

The highest values were concentrated in five African countries with a rate of 83% of the total of this bloc.

Ranking of countries came to Libya in the lead, with the value of exports amounting to ($961 million) 31.3% of the total bloc, and Sudan, with the value of exports amounting to ($827 million) 27% of the total bloc.

Kenya, with the value of exports, amounted to $382 million, or 12.5% of the total bloc, Tunisia, the value of exports amounted to ($264 million), or 8.6% of the total bloc, and Ethiopia, the value of exports amounted to $111 million, or 3.6% of the total bloc.
