Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) issued on Sunday the annual bulletin of grain storage statistics facilities for others offer at public/public business and private sector establishments in 2020 /2021.
According to CAPMAS, the end-of-year balance of wheat stocks in storage warehouses reached 530.5 thousand tons in 2020/2021.
This statistic shows the total off-farm grain storage capacity in Egypt in that period.
The annual bulletin noted that the number of barns in public/public business sectors reached 450 barns in 2020/2021.
It also mentioned that the number of barns in the private sector reached 72 barns in 2020/2021.
Moreover, the number of stores in public / public business sectors reached 731 stores in 2020/2021.
While the number of stores in the private sector reached 427 stores
in 2020/2021.
End of year balance of Agriculture, forestry and fishery products reached 544.2 thousand tons in 2020/2021; wheat represents 97.4% of that group. While the end of year balance reached 530.5 thousand tons in 2020/2021.
End of year balance of Food products, beverages, tobacco, textiles, apparel and leather products reached 61.4 thousand tons in 2020/2021, Balady wheat flour represents 1% of that group. While the end of year balance reached 613 tons in 2020/2021.
