On Tuesday, Dr. Hussein Abdelaziz, the advisor of the head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), revealed that the recently released "Egypt in Figures" booklet reviewed various indicators for Egyptian society.
He added that the population in Egypt increased by more than 10.5 million people in less than 7 years which corresponds to the population of 3 or 5 small European nations.
The official continued: “The population on January 1, 2023 amounted to 104 million and 462 thousand people, but it increased to 105.3 million people in the current year.”
Abdulaziz added, in a phone interview with “Good Morning, Egypt”, aired on the state-owned Channel One, that the booklet in numbers included population, work, agriculture, industry, oil, transport, housing, communications, and information
Also, it included indicators related to technology, economy, foreign trade, indices, income, and spending.
