CAPMAS: Egypt Invested 1.3 Trillion in Education Since 2014 Until Now

The education sector will remain the most important priority of the Egyptian government, due to its great importance in the country, as shown by the figures of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), on the development of the volume of spending on the education sector in the past years.

The CAPMS data said that spending on education amounted to a total value of about 1.3 trillion pounds during the past 10 years.

Spending on education amounted to 80.9 billion pounds in 2013/2014.

However, the education allowance rose by 16.7% in the immediate following year.

In the fiscal year 2021/2022, the education budget was estimated at 172.6 billion pounds during the year, with an increase of 9.5%.

During the fiscal year 2022/2023, the education budget increased to 192.7 billion pounds, with an estimated increase rate of about 11.6%.
