With this result, Cape Verde qualifies for the semi-finals of the African Handball Cup. Morocco will play on fifth to eighth places.
Morocco qualified for the quarter-finals after rising to second place in Group C, while Cape Verde qualified after finishing first in Group A.
16 teams participated in the tournament.
The top 5 teams qualify for the 2025 World Handball Championship, which will be held in Croatia, Norway and Denmark, while the first-place team qualifies for the handball competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
