California is still experiencing warm temperatures. The current wave will end by the weekend, peaking by midweek.
National Weather Service meteorologist in San Diego Paul Steward said: “There’s a possibility that a few locations could hit their daily record — or possibly exceed it."
He added that high pressure will continue to rise on Wednesday, which is expected to be the region’s warmest day.
Steward said temperatures are expected to be 15 to 20 degrees above normal.
the National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center posted on X that “Warm weather lovers are in luck as much of the nation will be 10-20 degrees above average,” adding: “High temperatures in the 70s and 80s will be possible from the Plains to the Southwest.”
