Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, received two separate phone calls on Saturday from Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares to discuss the rapidly evolving regional situation following the latest Israeli escalation and reported strikes on Iranian territory.

During the calls, Minister Abdelatty emphasized that the recent Israeli actions represent a dangerous escalation threatening regional peace and stability, warning that such moves could plunge the region into greater chaos and instability. He stressed the importance of urgent de-escalation and reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position that there are no military solutions to the region’s crises.

He also reiterated Egypt’s rejection of violations of the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states, underscoring the need to prevent the widening of the conflict.

The ministers agreed on the importance of intensifying joint efforts to calm tensions and restore stability, in a shared commitment to preserving the security of the broader region.
