Cairo University obtains "ISO 9001: 2015" certification for education, quality management systems

Dr. Mohammad Osman Al-Khousht, President of Cairo University, announced that the departments of the University's main secretariat and the Cairo University Centre for Quality Assurance of Education have received the annual renewal of the "ISO 9001: 2015" certificate in the quality system management sector.

In this regard, Al-Khousht stated that the university is striving for leadership and scientific excellence locally and internationally, affirming that the university applied all scientific standards of ISO certification.

He also added that this certificate is an important step to become a third-generation university and that the ISO recognition is the culmination of the efforts of all university staff during four years of work.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the Universities’ internal audit activities are performed by multi-disciplinary teams that include 60 members, and even professional specialists who reflect a broad range of ISO's assurance needs.

On the other hand, ISO representatives in Egypt congratulated Dr. Mohammad Osman Al-Khousht for achieving this success and mentioned that Cairo University focuses on technical and smart learning.

ISO representatives indicated: “The Cairo University took significant steps towards the implementation of digital transformations, despite the coronavirus outbreak.”

In the same context, the representatives also praised the university’s information network in its new form and the electronic control room.
