On Wednesday, the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operations (ECM) announced that the three lines of Cairo Metro will extend their working hours by up to one hour during the holy month of Ramadan and the three-day holiday of Eid Al-Fitr.

The first train will start operating at 5:15 AM, and the last trains on the first line will depart from Helwan and New Marg stations at 12:15 AM.

The last trains on the second line from Shubra El-Kheima and El-Mounib stations will depart at 12:30 AM, reaching Anwar El-Sadat transition station at 1 AM.

Meanwhile, the last trains on the third line from Adly Mansour and Kit Kat stations leave at 12:07 AM and 12:38 AM, respectively. The last train arrives at Gamal Abdel-Nasser's transition station at 12:30 AM, and the last train arrives at Ataba station—the interchange station of the second line with the third line—at 12:30 AM as well.

The Egyptian government usually extends the working hours of the metro and other facilities during Ramadan, which witnesses high traffic.
