The Confederation of African Football praised Egypt’s national team for what it described as a strong return to its traditional continental stature after securing a place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, currently being held in Morocco. In a report published on its official website, Confederation of African Football said Egypt sent a clear message to its rivals by returning to the heart of continental competition. The victory, CAF noted, carried significant meaning, as it restored confidence, ended Egypt’s recent struggles in the round of 16, and renewed hopes of lifting the African title for an eighth time.

The African football body said Egypt demonstrated strong mental and tactical readiness, adding that the team rediscovered its historic identity in major tournaments. According to CAF, the Pharaohs once again proved their ability to handle pressure and win difficult matches at crucial moments.
