Newly signed Al Ahly striker Walter Bwalya affirmed that he is fully aware of what awaits him in the Red Castle, indicating that he is eager to play in the Club World Cup.
The Congolese striker told the Red Devils official website that "wearing Al Ahly’s jersey is a big honor", which will put much responsibility on him to work hard in order to earn the love and trust of the club’s huge fan base.
Bwalya revealed to the Red Castle's website his feelings after joining the red team, his ambitions with the Red Devils, and his journey with football, and his statements published by the website came as follows:
“Being linked with a move to Al Ahly is a great honor. Of course, wearing the club’s historic red jersey puts a huge responsibility on me and I hope to be successful in my new mission.”

It was a long journey for our new striker, who started his career with football at home in Congo before moving to play in Zambia, where he proved his quality, which earned him a chance to play in the Egyptian League.

“My journey with football started when I was 7. I started as a left back as many left-footed players start their career in the number 3 position. However, coaches saw my qualities and decided to move me to the number 9 position, which is my favorite position.”
