Bulgarian President Roman Radev expressed his happiness with the growing relations between the two countries in various fields.
He added that Egypt is the first Arab country to establish diplomatic relations with Bulgaria, noting that it also considered as Bulgaria's largest trading partner in the Middle East and Africa.
He expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Egypt and the wise leadership of the President, expressing his aspiration to develop historical relations in the service of the two countries and friendly peoples.
Bulgarian President Roman Radev awarded Ambassador Khaled Amara, Egypt's ambassador to Sofia, the Order of Madara Knight of the First Class, the highest civilian award given for efforts to deepen relations of friendship and cooperation with Bulgaria, on the occasion of the end of the Egyptian ambassador's mission in Bulgaria.
The ceremony to celebrate this occasion took place on December 13, 2023, at the headquarters of the Bulgarian Presidency, in the presence of a large number of Arab and foreign ambassadors and members of the Egyptian embassy in Sofia.
