UK Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak on Sunday welcomed the progress made by the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh.
"I welcome the progress made by cop27, but there can be no time for complacency," Sunak tweeted.
"Keeping the 1.5 degrees Commitment alive is vital for the future of our planets," the British PM added, stressing that more work needs to be done.
It is worth mentioning that, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and President-designate of the COP27 announced the approval of the Green Climate Fund, as part of the activities of the closing session of the COP27 Climate Conference.
