British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly expressed his happiness with the sanctions imposed by Russia against him, if that was "the price of his support for the freedom of Ukraine".
He said on Twitter:" I've been sanctioned by the Russian government. Good. If this is the price for supporting Ukrainian freedom, then I’m happy to be sanctioned".
Last Saturday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and Chief of the General Staff Patrick Sanders were included in Russia's mutual sanctions list, which includes 36 people.
