British Defense: Russian Forces Defeated in Battle of Seversky Donets River   

The British Ministry of Defense considered, on Friday, that Russia's failure to cross the Seversky Donets River west of Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region of the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine shows the extent of the pressure Russian leaders are facing.

The British Ministry indicated, according to the British newspaper (The Guardian) on its website, that Russia lost armored maneuvering units in at least one tactical battalion group and the pontoon bridge equipment that was deployed while crossing the river.

It added that the Russian forces had failed to achieve any tangible progress despite the stationing of forces in that area after the withdrawal and redeployment of units from the cities of Kyiv and Chernihiv, northeast of the Ukrainian capital.
