Britain's Ministry of Defense said it considered depleted uranium to be a very effective "traditional component" of anti-tank missiles.
And the British Ministry of Defense claimed in a statement, on Tuesday, that "this is a conventional element and has nothing to do with weapons or nuclear capabilities."
And the ministry claimed that "Russia knows this, but it is deliberately trying to spread misinformation."
The British defense indicated that the shells containing depleted uranium are very effective against tanks and armored vehicles.
This comes against the backdrop of the publication of statements by British Deputy Defense Secretary Annabelle Goldie, that Britain is supplying Ukraine with missiles that contain depleted uranium.
The Russian embassy in London condemned this step, warning that it could lead to an escalation of the conflict and that the use of this type of missile would negatively affect the health of the local population.
