Thousands of Brazilians took the streets criticizing President's Jair Bolsonaro's Coronavirus-crisis actions, Sputnik reported on Sunday.

The demonstrators organized several protests in at least 16 cities across all the state. They chanted various calls against the presidents such as "Out with Bolsonaro," and "Impeachment now."

They called for buying vaccine doses, providing the civilians with urgent relief, giving the Brazilians their rights in health and education.

Bolsonaro was accused of ignoring setting more restrictions for competing against the virus outbreak, in addition to launching a slow and not ineffective vaccination rollout.

Several demonstrations were peacefully organized, however, police used tear gas and rubber bullets to end the gatherings.

Brazil recorded 16 million COVID-19 infections, and almost half a million deaths until the outbreak of the pandemic.
