Brazilian media confirmed that authorities had found a draft presidential decree stipulating "emergency measures" that would have allowed the result of the presidential election, in which Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won, to be annulled.

The newspaper "Folha de Sao Paulo" reported that the document was found during raids carried out by the federal police at the home of Anderson Torres, Minister of Justice in the government of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

The Brazilian newspaper added that one of the measures contained in the draft stipulates that the federal government controls the Supreme Electoral Court, which is charged with supervising the proper conduct of the electoral process, under the pretext of ensuring the preservation of transparency, according to the Russian Sputnik agency.

Many jurists consider this procedure unconstitutional, and the practical aim is to cancel the election result won by Lula.

According to the Brazilian newspaper, that draft may be the first element of irrefutable evidence that Bolsonaro supporters were planning a coup in the event of his defeat in the elections.
