Brazil reported four Florona cases in three different regions: Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Sierra, and São Paulo, media agencies reported on Tuesday.

In a statement, the doctors said: "At least three Brazilian states, Rio de Janeiro, Sierra and São Paulo, have reported positive tests for both “Covid and influenza”, that is, the so-called Florona, that is, cases of double infection.”

Brazil is considered the second country in the world after Israel and the first country in Latin America.

In the same context, Croatia also announced the first infection of the new virus in Europe.

The authorities detected the case of dual infection with flu and corona is considered as dual infection for the respiratory system, not a new mutation of the virus.

The new infection, Florona, was detected for the first time in Israel and it is a combination infection between the flu and Corona.

Professor Arnon Vizhnitser of the Rabin Medical Center expressed that the woman who carried the new infection, Florona, hadn't severe symptoms and she would be released in a few days.

“She was diagnosed with the flu and coronavirus as soon as she arrived. Both tests came back positive, even after we checked again… the disease is the same disease; they’re viral and cause difficulty in breathing since both attack the upper respiratory tract,” said Vizhnitser.
