US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the United States of America (USA) will continue its efforts to calm tensions in Palestine. And Blinken added that he concluded a fruitful trip to Israel and the West Bank.
Blinken held a press conference where he said: During my tour in the region, I discussed ways to reduce escalation.
He added that the USA has provided $ 50 million in aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA), explaining that the factors that threaten stability in the region must be reduced.
Blinken said that the Palestinians face diminishing prospects of hope, reaffirming the United States opposition to Israel's settlement expansion.
And the US Secretary of State called for calming tensions after the escalation of violence in the West Bank, explaining that the United States opposes any action from any side that would make it more difficult to achieve the two-state solution, including settlement expansion, demolitions, expulsions from homes and destabilizing the historical situation.
