US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced $50 million in support of the agricultural sector in Egypt.
This came during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry in Cairo.
During the conference, Shoukry said that the Ukrainian-Russian war has affected the Egyptian economy, a matter which requires more cooperation to avoid these repercussions.
Moreover, Blinken added that his country, during the past decades, provided Egypt with $30 billion in economic assistance.
In addition, Egypt's top diplomat pointed out that the problems of inflation and high food prices in Egypt currently, are suffered by all countries around the world.
In this regard, he added that Egypt and US are working together to solve the food and energy security crisis, and to complete the march of successful Egyptian economic reforms.
