U.S. President Joe Biden congratulated, on Saturday, Muslims all over the world on New Islamic (Hijri) Year 1444.
"As we start this new year, let us recommit to the values of justice, equality, and compassion,” Biden wrote on Twitter.

On this day, Muslims celebrate 1444 years since Islam’s Prophet Muhammad migrated from Mecca to Medina, to save Muslims from torture by leaders of Quraish. Prophet Muhammad wanted to protect the proselytism of Islam from being eradicated by disbelievers at that time.
Last April, Biden congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Ramadan, using a verse from Al-Quran.
“Jill and I extend our best wishes to Muslim communities here in the United States and around the world on the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan,” the White House’s statement read.
The president added: “As we continue to rebuild from the pandemic, we must also continue all of our efforts to stand with all those who are suffering and vulnerable around the world, those who are facing persecution or hardship. As the Holy Qur’an teaches, “whoever does even an atom’s weight of good will see its results.”
