US President Joe Biden emphasized that the collective West was not involved in the attempted insurgency in Russia.
Speaking at the White House at an event about broadband access, Biden stated, “We made it clear — the West had nothing to do with this.”
At the same time, he said that Washington, regardless of further developments in Russia, will continue to provide aid to Ukraine.
The US president indicated that he brought this to the attention of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a phone conversation between them over the weekend.
According to Biden, the United States was prepared for several scenarios.
Biden also announced his intention to hold new phone consultations with other Western leaders on the situation in Russia.
