US President-elect Joe Biden, on Saturday, sent a special message to supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump, saying in his victory speech in Delaware that he could understand their disappointment.
Biden tried to comfort displeased Trump supporters, asking them to "give each other a chance," confirming his complete understanding of their feelings as he lost twice himself, while citing his own unsuccessful presidential bids in 1998 and 2008.
"For all those of you who voted for President Trump, I understand the disappointment tonight. I've lost a couple times myself,” Biden stated. “But now, let's give each other a chance. It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again."
Despise Trump’s continuous attempts to fake his election win, the US President-elect asserted that it was the people in this country who delivered the clear victory.
“The people of this nation have spoken,” he confirmed. “They delivered us a clear victory, a convincing victory, a victory for we the people."
