US President Joe Biden has ordered the flags to be flown at half-mast on federal buildings to mourn the victims of the "Texas massacre" that killed 14 children and a teacher, in addition to the shooter wanted by the police.
The hideous massacre took place in a primary school in Texas yesterday.
On her part, US Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the shooting of a young man in an elementary school in Texas.
In a speech to the Senate, US Senator Chris Murphy called for the passage of laws that reduce shootings by restricting possession of firearms across the states.
