US President Joe Biden confirmed that he intends to announce his candidacy for a second term in the presidential elections scheduled for 2024, but he will not take this step now.
In an interview with ABC News, Biden (80 years old), the oldest president in the history of the United States, said that “my intention was from the beginning to run” for a second term.
US First Lady Jill Biden told the Associated Press that her husband had decided on his candidacy, and all that remained was to determine when and where it would be announced.
