Biden: Crime Threatens USA More than COVID-19

US President Joe Biden has warned that crime threatens the United States of America (USA) more than the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) did.

He pledges to strengthen control of the arms trade in the country.

Biden commented on the illegal trade by saying the death mongers abuse law for profits.

He stressed that his administration won’t tolerate the illegal trade of arms.

He went on to say the federal government will help recruit a bigger number of policemen by using the resource that budgeted to fight the COVID-19.

He indicated that meanwhile, the country is recovering from the Corona pandemic the rates of crime leaped significantly in summer or worse than the declared figures in various states.

Biden addressed arms dealers who violate laws that the government will arrest them and deprive them of their licenses to sell firearms to the citizens.

He threatens the dealers that they will not be able to sell arms on the streets in the USA.

It is worth noting that the US administration has announced that it work to strict control on smuggling arms between the borders.

Last April, Biden signed a number of protocols to control the unlicensed arms in the USA.

In 2020, the percentage of murders in American cities rose by 30% compared with figures registered in the previous year.

Also, aggression by firearms rose in the same year by 8%.

Throughout the first half of the current year, more than 20,989 people were murdered over clashes between criminal elements.

Half of the victims committed suicide according to figures published by Gun Violence Archive, a non-government organization.
