BIAFF International Film Festival to Kick Off Tomorrow

BIAFF International Film Festival will kick off tomorrow virtually according to the Film New Europe website. The events of the festival will take place between 15 and 25 November in Georgia instead of 13 November

The festival will use two platforms to stream the participated films in the official competitions in addition to screening the gems of Georgian cinema. All films will be streamed for free through Festivalscope and VIMEO platforms

According to the official statement released by the organisers, "the BIAFF film festival which was scheduled during 13-20 September was postponed due to COVID19 Pandemic, just before 3 days of the opening day.

This sudden change created unusually and since festival management wanted to hold it in physical space even with only outdoor screenings

BIAFF was postponed for the second half of October, hoping to improve the pandemic situation.

Although, Covid19 cases increased dramatically in Georgia and finally, BIAFF management made the decision to move to digital format and join the circle of festivals which were forced to adopt the new reality and arrange the online festival
