Even though the red velvet cake is a new dessert, it is no doubt one of the most delicious desserts ever. It has many different ingredients and recipes but today we have the Egyptian engineer Ameera Aboulseoud’s recipe.

Aboulseoud used the red velvet cake recipe in the book “Baking Bible” by Rose Levy Bereanbaum to develop her own recipe. She says: I didn’t use the exact ingredients but swapped some them including the ¾ cup of buttermilk which I swapped with 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar added to it and the raspberry sauce which I didn’t make but instead made frosting that is not found in the original recipe. However, I used only the egg whites like the original recipe instead of whole eggs, baking powder and baking soda.
